Embark on an unforgettable day hike in the picturesque city of Pokhara, Nepal, where you will have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty and cultural gems of the region. The itinerary includes a walk to Fewa Lake, a boat ride across the lake, a hike to Pumdikot, a visit to the World Peace Stupa, a descent to Chhorepatan, and a drive back to your hotel.

Begin your day by walking to Fewa Lake, which is located in the heart of Pokhara. It is a short and pleasant walk from your hotel to the lake. Once you reach the lakeshore, take a boat ride across Fewa Lake to the other side. Enjoy the scenic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains during the boat ride.
Duration: Approximately 2-3 hours (one way)
Elevation: From around 820 meters (2,690 feet) to 1,470 meters (4,820 feet)
After reaching the other side of Fewa Lake, begin your hike towards Pumdikot. The trail gradually ascends through lush forests and charming villages. As you hike, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, as well as the Pokhara Valley. Pumdikot offers a fantastic vantage point to admire the panoramic scenery and is a great spot for photography and exploration.
Duration: Approximately 1-2 hours (one way)
Elevation: From around 1,470 meters (4,820 feet) to 1,620 meters (5,310 feet)
From Pumdikot, continue your hike towards the World Peace Stupa, a magnificent Buddhist pagoda that stands atop a hill. The trail winds through a serene forested path, providing opportunities to connect with nature. Upon reaching the stupa, you’ll be greeted with stunning views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the city of Pokhara below. Take some time to explore the stupa and soak in the peaceful ambiance.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour (downhill)
Elevation: From around 1,620 meters (5,310 feet) to 840 meters (2,760 feet)
After enjoying the World Peace Stupa, descend along a well-marked trail that leads to Chhorepatan. The trail passes through terraced fields, small villages, and offers occasional glimpses of the surrounding landscapes. Take your time to appreciate the natural beauty and cultural charm along the way.
Duration: Approximately 15-20 minutes (by vehicle)
Once you reach Chhorepatan, we will drive you back to your hotel. The drive takes a short time and allows you to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.
We highly recommend having traditional dishes like dal bhat (lentil soup with rice), momo (dumplings), and local teas. It will replenishing your energy for the journey.
